I ...Why do people call things "thrifted"? I don't like that term. Are people too lazy to say "from the thrift store," or better yet, "second-hand"?<br /><br />I do like the idea, but the growing season here is just too short, even when the herbs are started inside (which I tried last year). Tip #1 though would be to either start those seeds inside now, or just buy little plants at the farmer's market. Also, make sure the spot you pick is REALLY sunny for most herbs. <br /><br />Tip #2 - grow basil, cilantro, and mint (not in same container).
