happy long weekend!

Just like most other crafty vixens out there, I've fallen in love with the iphone photo editing app that the lovely ladies at A Beautiful Mess brought us! I've been playing around with it and thought it would be a great transition to share one of my creations with you while I'm away this happy long weekend visiting with family and friends and being spoiled in my bridal shower! How wonderful! Just look how excited little thumbs up yeti is for the mini vacation:

Hooray! Here's to hoping my little break is as wonderful as I hope it will be and that at very least I get a bit of rest in there... What are you up to this weekend? 

blogtober fail

Oh dear, enthused fail yeti is back...


Turns out I have fallen quite ill/am having a terrible flare up of swelling pain and need to take some time to rest (including a break from blog writing!). I figured instead of a few lack-luster feverish posts to fill in the time until I have recovered I will save you the confusion and time wasting and wait until I am all healed up to jump back into blogging! After all, it's a new month and I never even managed to get a new playlist up since August! Eep! If anyone out there feels like sharing a few Kate-like guest posts you are more than welcome to participate and fill the void we'll have on here for a bit, and if not, no worries - I will be sleeping, healing, and back to my normal perky self in no time! Wish me luck! I'll miss you!

internet fail = blog fail

Bad news blog friends, our internet provider (*cough couch telus cough*) has failed us! When we moved (back on August 27th) they told us we would have our account transferred over to our new home in Victoria the same day! Too good to be true? Yes. Apparently. They then told us our internet would be up by the 31st at the latest....and.....no luck. No internet makes running my etsy site extra difficult and writing this blog near impossible! Ack! I am so bogged down with unpacking to do that I'm afraid my daily trips to the neighbourhood sbux (with their free wifi) will have to cease and the blog will be going on temporary hiatus. Yup, yeti is here to enthusiastically bring you the sad news:


I hope everything is going well in your life and that you won't miss me too much while I'm away! Here's also hoping that I am soon back online and back to the wonderful world of the internet (you have no idea how much I miss it!). In the meantime feel free to send Telus lots of nasty messages or words of encouragement to get me hooked up soon! Hooray!

A yeti kind of day.

Ack! Note to self: do not pull a day road trip to a wedding in Kelowna after less than two hours sleep without planning tomorrow's blog post first. It was an amazingly fun time though! Now I will be spending the day recovering from an epic long Friday. How are you spending your Saturday? Anything yeti related perhaps? Bonus points will be rewarded for creativity...

Sorry friends - I've been suffering from quite a spell of vertigo and am too dizzy to blog today! blog fail

If you're a twitter user (or just someone who is up on the hip and happening trends of the internet) you may have seen (or heard of) the fail whale. This charming fellow greets you when twitter is experiencing problems and you can't get into the site. The fail whale takes a usually frustrating situation and turns it into something cute! Behold:

Just look at those wide-set eyes! That yarn is adorable! I decided that I should make my very own error message but since I can't fix actual errors of blogspot I'd make a "blog fail" image instead! That way you lovely readers can be greeted by cuteness when I fail at blogging:


Ah! Thumbs up yeti! What an over-enthused mythical creature you are! Since my "blog every day of 2010" goal is almost up (and I certainly don't plan to mess that up now) I'm hoping fail yeti won't pop up for you any time soon but he may appear in 2011 (when I will try to blog often, but probably won't make it everyday). But hey - abominable snowmen (even the thumbs up kind) are elusive anyways right? I thought so...I also figured if any of you bloggers out there are experiencing a blog fail you can snafooze yeti to help ease the disappointment of a no post day to your readers! Any thoughts? Or takers?
