It's official. I've gone dinosaur craft crazy in the last few days. Sure I've always been a fan of turning plastic dinosaurs into creative amazing things, but after Jana from Studio 3 Twelve commented on the dino garland the other day, I've become head over heels and fell in love with her Pinnieasaurus! Behold:

Isn't she sweet? Her name is Penny, she loves sewing - but cursing her genetic shortcomings her tiny little limbs make reaching the petals all too difficult. Instead she's determined to be the best sewing helper and conveniently holds pins! Check out more of Penny on Jana's blog (link) because hopefully you're drooling over how fun she is too!
Cindy and I have been planning a large dinosaur glitter project (which is exactly as it sounds - find a giant dinosaur, cover him with glitter) but now I'm thinking I need to work some use into said dino. I do really love the pin cushion idea since I'm always up for an extra hand and encouragement when I whip out the machine but I'm a magnet pincushion girl so I doubt I'd be patient enough to voodoo my poor Pinnieasaurus' back each time I used a pin. Hmm...I'll have to keep brainstorming on that one but in the meantime am so so happy Jana shared her creation with us! Hooray! What do you think? What would you like your dinosaur to help you with?
I might make myself a dinosaur paintbrush holder!
ReplyDeleteCool!
ReplyDeleteThough, in retrospect, it's too bad she's not a stegosaurus. I think the pins could be incorporated (somehow) in to the spikes! Plus steggies are better than tricerotopses.
ReplyDeleteGiant Glitter Dinosaur Project sounds amazing! I should totally get one of these and cover it with glitter (I've been trying to persuade the head of our school to let me buy one for next year!)
