Knit Bow Tutorial

I'm determined to spice up my wardrobe this year while sticking to a strict budget (or at least attempting to...) and focusing on the handmade! No better way than to get on that knitting and make one of these fantastic red knit hair bows from stephanie fail:

Oh my am I ever in love with this project! Nothing like a little granny chic yarn to spice up the hum drum lulls of post holiday wintertime! And after looking at that free pdf tutorial I think I might actually be able to do this one. Heck! It's only like 8 lines of pattern to follow! Any takers?

  1. You are my hero! Why?
    1. I've been ignoring knitting this year, and wanting to get back into it and experiment with some of my neat yarns I picked up at a textile sale

    2. I adore bows. I find them so charming

    3. This doesn't look A) too difficult B) too time intensive.

Perfect! You made my day! Where is the tutorial? Am I missing something?

  2. Hooray! I'm glad so many of you are into it! You can get to the tutorial by clicking on "red knit hair bow" or the image!

Also - I don't think I'd do a red bow...being a red head and all it might be too much. Perhaps a nice jewel tone or mustard?

  3. I was going to say "don't do red!" to you, but it looks like Mom beat me to it, though much more politely. I think navy or moss would be good, though mustard would probably look icky. Perhaps turquoise? Of course, you do realise that you need to learn to knit first, right? I keep trying to teach you, but you always have something "more important" to do!

  4. This should be our first project then! Perhaps on thursday! I'll print out the pdf and bring some yarn, you get your teacher shoes on! (I have to be done by 7pm though so it will have to be a late afternoon thing)
