Friday Find: Kitty Dune

As many of you know, I fail as a knitter. I've tried on multiple occasions to master the needles but my patience suffers and I'm completely alright admitting that I am really more of the crochet kind of gal. It is sort of a shame though - since there are so many cool knitted goods out there! Looks like my mom and sister will have to fill the knit void in my life - or perhaps I will just splurge on the knit wonders of Etsy's Kitty Dune! One item I am particularly smitten with is their amazing knit boot cuff leg warmers:

Aren't they wonderful? I love the thick knit texture and the cable pattern. I am also drawn to the idea of keeping my legs warm while I acclimatize to the chilly wet winters here on the coast! I've been told that tights and boots are the only way to go (to avoid the whole "bottom decimeter of pant legs are soaked" thing) so clearly a little handmade layer in there is necessary. What do you think? Not the boot cuff kind of person? Not to worry. Kitty Dune has a whole bunch of other knit goodies to please everyone! Yay! Which is your favourite?

  1. Though I'm committed to structured and classic styles I really like the slouchy hat! Too bad my calves are too jimondo to fit cute socks in my boots or I'd be into them too.

  2. You know, I never really thought of it, but yeah, boots really ARE the way to go. You definitely see a lot of them around here during the winter.

And yeah, those definitely look good. But then, I've always been a fan of girls wearing boots and tights. It's a good look!

I love them too, and I haven't looked at the rest of the site yet, but I'm sure it will be inspiring as well.

Also, kudos for using "dec" in a post! Dad will be so proud!
